Sažetak
We consider a one-dimensional model of the flow and thermal explosion of a reactive micropolar real gas. The micropolar model is an extension of the classical fluid model, where local microeffects in the continuum are taken into account. The model describes the behavior of a gas mixture during combustion, where we assume a generalized equation of state due to the extreme conditions that prevail during the reaction. In this paper we study the properties of the numerical solution of this problem, more precisely the dependence on the initial conditions. The numerical scheme we study here is based on the Faedo-Galerkin method, and we investigate its quality in terms of the smoothness of the initial functions. The method turns out to be generally valid, but suboptimal when the initial conditions are not smooth.
