Sažetak
The new and more ambitious goals of the EU sectoral policy until 2030 calls for the CO2 emission reduction by 40%, reaching at least 32% of renewable energy share in the total consumption, and an increase in overall energy efficiency by 32, 5%. In the longer term, until 2050, it is planned, among other things, that electrical energy is produced virtually entirely from renewable sources. Such rapid changes in the power industry pose significant economic and social challenges. Moreover, considering the influence on all the EU citizens and businesses, they bring along significant implementation risks that the broadest public of the EU may not well understand.
