Sažetak
Information and communication technology (ICT) is one of the most important factors of economic activities that contribute to the continuous growth and sustainable development of almost every national economy. The purpose of this paper is the methodology improvement of data preparation and harmonization from available data sources to provide a consistent and comprehensive estimation of ICT sectors contribution to the national economy. The main data source that describes economic relations of ICT and other economic sectors in this research is input-output table for Croatian economy for the year 2018. Based on the theoretical background, in the available input- output table, six sectors correspondent with the identified ICT classes are recognized. Different mathematical methods are used to improve methodology of ICT data preparation and harmonization. For heterogeneous ICT sectors, certain transformations that include extracting only those ICT-related data have been applied, while missing data for some sectors are replaced by indirect identification, i.e. by using certain assumptions and mathematical techniques.
