Sažetak
Metallic structures are often exposed to outdoor atmosphere where they are under destructive influence of atmospheric corrosion. Electrochemical techniques are conviniently used for determination of metal corrosion rate, however they require the use of an aqueous electrolyte which is not a simple task in case of verical surfaces or curved geometries. This work examines the use of electrolytes in form of hydrogel, instead of aqueous electrolyte, that enable measurements on such surfaces. Agar and poly (vinily alcohol) based hydrogels were used for studies on selected bronze sculptures in Zagreb and Sisak, as well as on copper and bronze plates covered by patina layer or organic coating.
