Sažetak
Calcium phosphates attract special attention because they occur naturally mostly in the hard tissues of the human body while silver nanoparticles have shown optimal antimicrobial properties and cytocompatibility.1, 2 The combination of these two materials may result in composites that could both promote osseointegration and prevent bacterial adhesion and proliferation, which is of particular interest for medical implants. Elucidation of the synthetic routes, and comprehensive physicochemical characterization of the resulting composites provide important information about the applicability of the composites.
