Sažetak
Sportswear provides an important contribution to the exceptional achievements of professional athletes. The importance of sportswear and materials used for its production is manifested in ensuring maximum comfort and smooth mobility during sports activities. In recent years, great progress has been made in the development of fibers and yarns for the production of high-end sportswear, but also the continuous further development of new concepts in terms of sportswear design. The properties of textile materials change over time and continuous use due to several factors, including the abrasion of the material in contact with various surfaces and media. Therefore, data describing material behavior due to abrasion are important for the material design process. The experimental part of this paper is focused on the abrasion and pilling of materials made of polyester, and intended for the production of sportswear for football players. For this purpose, the Aquabrasion device was used, which has the possibility of simulating dry and wet tests. The aim of the experimental work is to investigate the behavior of this group of materials through several aspects, primarily the behavior of the material due to the previous aging in real conditions of material use, as well as the behavior of materials with changes in the abrasion process parameters. The results indicated a change in the appearance of pilling and deterioration of the material structure after only 2500 cycles.
