Sažetak
An overview of the applications of piezoelectric energy harvesting (PEH) devices is given. Application fields, with particular attention to structural health monitoring, are outlined. Aspects related to the analytical and numerical modeling, as well as to the experimental validation of the performances of PEH transducers are described. Studies on the optimization of a new class of PEH devices, allowing to attain much higher power outputs, are finally illustrated.
