Sažetak
The results show that the asymptotic corrugation boundary condition (ACBC) is appropriate and can be used to analyze corrugated cylinders when the corrugation period is much smaller than the wavelength. The ACBC solutions are compared with a more rigorous solution based on the exact Floquet mode expansion and the mode matching technique. Excellent agreement between both solutions is obtained. Moreover, this comparison shows that the ACBC is stiff valid even if the number of corrugations is less than ten (period/lambda < 10). This paper is done while Zvonimir Sipus was a Ph.D. Student at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden.
