Sažetak
Even though the earliest examples of Early Renaissance architectural elements had reached eastern Adriatic shores during the 1460ies, in Zadar – the capital of Venetian Dalmatia – its full development didn't occur before the first decade of Cinquecento. The church of St Mary of Zadar Benedictine nuns, the confraternity chapel of St. Roch and St. Marcella of the Poor Clares, conspicuously show acceptance of Codussian models, not only with the trilobed façade but also through the choice and the structuring of architectural decoration. The paper will compare these examples with Codussi's late works searching for the most relevant links in their typological and morphological features. Finally, the main protagonist of their construction will be discussed ; lapicida Nikola Španić, who appears in commissions for both St. Mary and St. Roch. His known oeuvre will be analyzed to hypothesize his role in these transfers of forms from Venice to Dalmatia.
