Sažetak
In curing the diseases caused by E. coli, 8 drugs have been used mostly: ampicillin, trimetoprime with sulphonamide, flumequine, spectomycin with lincomycin, furazolidone, cloramphenicol, streptomycin and oxytetracycline. The sauccess differs, so, because of the possible resistence, the sensitivity in vitro of 130 virulent and avirulent strains of E. coli isolated from livers of deseased poultry has been investigated. The results showed that on average 41, 94% of virulent and 38, 34% of avirulent E. coli strains are resistent to the drugs used, and that the highest resistence is to oxytetrycycline and the lowest to furazolidone.
