Sažetak
Morsko jezero Vlaška je dio estuarija rijeke Neretve. Obzirom na hidrodinamičke značajke , raslojavanje vodenog stupca utvrđeno je tijekom cijele godine. Vodeni je stupac bio dobro prozračen do dubine tri metra, dok ispod osam metara dubine dolazi do manjka ili potpunog nedostatka kisika. U ovom radu molarni omjeri hranjivih soli /Si:P, UAN:P, Si:UAN, NO3:NH4, Si:IS/ uspoređivani su s gustoćom populacija fitoplanktona i to iznad i ispod piknokline. The marine lake Vlaška (0.5 km2, 11 m max. depth) is located in the lower Neretva river estuary, eastern Adriatic. Samples for analyses of hydrographic, chemical and biological parameters were collected once a month from April 1999 till April 2000 on station "Rogotin", every meter, from surface to bottom (11 m). With respect to hydrographic characteristics, water column stratification was found throughout the year. Sharp halocline separates water column to brackish layer above and marine layer below. Due to input of cold river water, thermocline overlaps with halocline and so does pycnocline creating very pronounced separation between brackish and marine layer. Throughout the year water column is well aired till three meter depth, while below eight meters there is low oxygen concentration or complete lack of oxygen. In the present study, molar ratios of Si:P, TIN:P, Si:TIN, Si:light, TIN:light that are considered as the most important phytoplankton growth regulators as well as NO3:NH4 that is considered as substitutable resources were calculated for both layers, above and below pycnocline. Relationship between the abundance of phytoplankton and resource ratios, were discussed.
