Sažetak
The aim of this experimental study was to investigate masticatory muscle activity and some cephalometric data with special emphasis on sex differences. The investigation was performed in two stages. In the first, electromyographic recordings of the temporalis and masseter muscles were examined and in the second stage the mandibular parameters such as angles of the mandible, length of the ramus and corpus of the mandible were measured. The results were statistically evaluated by one-way analysis of variance. No statistically significant differences were obtained between males and females for electromyographic variables. For the cephalometric variables statistically significant difference at 95% level was obtained for the length of the mandibular ramus.
