Sažetak
Despite numerous examples of formal recognition and progress made, the opportunity for education and participation in public life has not yet resulted in equality between women and men in everyday life. In practice, women and men do not have the same rights. Social, political, economic and cultural inequalities continue to be present in terms of wage disparities and underrepresentation in managerial and managerial positions. The pattern of behavior and practice of transparent and fair decision-making on employment and promotion is on the side of men. In the Republic of Croatia, looking at the time period, the strengthening of capacities in women is improving. The percentages and the number of women's representatives in party, legislative and executive bodies, scientific circles and medicine do not mean much because the quantitative figures do not show the important qualitative side. If we want to create a society based on equality, it is crucial that the gender dimension is fully taken into account in the organization and practice. In the present and future world, real equality between women and men is key to economic and social success.
