Sažetak
The investigation of the sounds evoked during teeth occlusion can provide some information about the stability of the masticatory complex – which is composed of the teeth, their supporting tissues, masticatory muscles, both jaws, temporomandibular joints and sensory elements from all these structures, including gingiva soft tissues and lips. Since occlusal sound depend on the muscular contraction, time sequence is an important variable for the evaluation of the harmony and balance of occlusion. From that reason the multichannel system was designed which enables simultaneous recordings of the occlusal sounds and bioelectrical activity of the examined muscles.
