Sažetak
In present work, the hardness, fracture mode and microstructure of heat resistant stainless steel AISI 310S before and after solution heat treatment were investigated. Temperature of solution heat treatment was 1100°C/30 minutes and after solution heat treatment the samples were quenched in water (15°C). Microstructure and fracture surface analysis were carried out with scanning electron microsope (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDX). Microstructure of steel before heat treatment consisted of austenite and delta ferrite. Also, microstructure of steel after solution heat treatment and quenching was heterogeneous and consisted of austenite and delta ferrite. Sigma phase particles were not observed. Solution heat treatment a slight influence on the hardness decreasing (from 203 to 170 HV). Fracture surface before and after solution heat treatment characterized by a ductile fracture mode.
