Sažetak
The global business environment has transformed modern society into a dynamic, aggressive aggregate that rapidly drives social change and is known as the "society of change." The fundamental characteristics of a rapidly changing society are progressive growth and development within various social structures, growth of social networks and innovations, new technologies, high quality and adaptable knowledge. In such environment a technologically efficient, culturally affirmative and socially oriented entrepreneurship dominates. The development of entrepreneurship in "serious" economies should cannot be adrift to the unsystematic or disorganised or support incentives of private or public interest, as this can lead to poor results - unprofitability, lack of perspective and ideas, passivity, criticism and in extreme cases, defeatism. In its effort to accelerate the development of specific entrepreneurial initiatives, the Republic of Croatia has developed an appropriate infrastructure platform, which very often indicates the founding role of entrepreneurial support institutions and seeks to constantly update and systematically influence the content, intensity and value of new entrepreneurial initiatives. In this paper, a general platform and specific institutions of entrepreneurial support in the Republic of Croatia are being presented. Platforms and institutions for entrepreneurial development represent an important factor in improving the institutional environment, which is manifested in the role of founders and national initiators of advanced entrepreneurial achievements. As a result, there is a commitment to further explore and improve the relationship between the multidimensional levels of institutional platforms and types of support they provide to entrepreneurs.
