Sažetak
Technologies based on AOPs primarily exploit the high reactivity and non-selectivity of the hydroxyl radical (HO•). AOPs can oxidize/mineralize organic pollutants to CO2, H2O and/or respective mineral salts (chlorides, nitrates, phosphates), depending on the structure of the starting pollutant(s). Radical species employed in AOPs can be generated by numerous means, including chemical, electrical, mechanical or radiation energy, hence AOPs can be categorized according to the means of radical production and process operating conditions
