Sažetak
The COVID-19 pandemic immediately turned our lives upside down. Terms such as the “old normal” and “new normal” started to be adopted into everyday conversations. Novelties like facemasks, lockdowns, physical distancing, and other epidemiological measures were also introduced and en- forced all around the globe. Above all, fear of getting infected became present everywhere and people did not want to take chances with this disease. All these significant changes have disrupted our daily routines, and sub- sequently our mental well-being may be affected. So far, studies have shown existing negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on our mental health. However, the long-term consequences are still unknown, and it remains un- clear how thing will turn out. Here, we will discuss the potential cause and effect relationship, and what factors may play key roles as the time goes on.
