Sažetak
The temporal and spatial aspect of occurrence accidents and their consequences are the most basic approaches in the traffic safety analysis. In the previous studies about traffic safety that are related on time when accident happened, a number of authors research the frequency of traffic accidents in a certain period of time, while others are concerned on forecasts the number of accidents. This paper shows possibility of applying the basic principles of the reliability theory for testing the time distribution of traffic without accidents and safety parameters of rural road sections, such as the density function of accidents, function of reliability/unreliability, the mean time between two consecutive accident and accident frequency function.
