Sažetak
In a disease, such as SSc when an untreated medical condition has the potential to progress and result in premature demise timely diagnosis is of an even greater importance, especially when taking into account that our patients are of lower socioeconomic status with a lower life expectancy. To ensure earlier treatment a possible short- term solution could be to educate patients to notify their treating physician of any change in their condition and provide contact details, since treatment initiation is possible only in a hospital setting. Next step for a long-term solution is to create a national registry enabling analysis and planning of a national program ensuring TTE accessibility to asymptomatic SSc patients.
