Sažetak
In this paper, it will be given a short review on the work and work results on Soybean breeding in the Osijek Agricultural Institute, Republic of Croatia. Main objectives of work program, methods of work with discussion were described. The results realised so far are 21 recognized soybean cultivars(cv.) into 00-II group maturity and five experimental cultivars that have already been submitted to the Comission for Varietal Approval Zagreb. Some of recognized cultivars are being introduced into large scale production as cv. Tisa (covers mostly acreage), Sava, Una, Drina, Lika, Iva, Kaja and Nada. These have a high genetic yield potential and good adaptability and yield stability and satisfactory other agronomic characters too. Results of yield testing and other traits of the new best lines are shown that existed progress in soybean breeding in the Osijek Agricultural Institute.
