Keynote lecture discusses non-destructive methods that can apply to masonry structures to determine mechanical properties. In detail following methods are discussed: shear stress, flat jack, model updating of axially loaded tie rods, experimental determination of dynamic properties of structures and examples of Structural Health Monitoring systems.
