Sažetak
This research presents a possible solution for water flow monitoring and alarming system, specially designed for use at remote locations without electricity and Internet access. To make such a system affordable, the low-cost widely available components were tested along with LoRa open network. In addition to the design of the device, it is demonstrated how electricity consumption can be reduced in the sensor platform and the range of the whole system is measured. Research include distance measured at 92 different points and the measurement covered an area of 21.5 km2 in City of Zagreb, Croatia.
