Sažetak
The paper presents an overview of basic terms of graphostylistics and those units of style which are known as graphostylemes, ortographic figures, graphological tactics, graphemic figures etc. The research is partly based on the rhetoric of Heinrich F. Plett, particularly on his use of general operations which divide the field of figures (addition, subtraction, permutation, substitution and equivalence) and his understanding of graphemic figures, but also introduces new definitions, terminology and classification. Graphostylemes or figures of writing are understood as intentional estrangement of the written linguistic message on the level of letter composition, interpunction and other ortographic signs, thus establishing figures of letters, figures of interpunction and figures of ortographic signs as particular categories.
