Sažetak
The subject of this paper is to observe the significance and impact of the road on the course of events and events on the West Slavonian front in the Homeland War. The highway played crucial role in the conflicts in this area, from the very beginning of open aggression to Croatia until the military operation "Flash". Mutual need of the conflicting side to reopen the highway to be a strategic gain and a step towards the final resolution of the war, made this road an important topic of negotiation and, on finally, one of the components of the Economic Agreement concluded on 2 December 1994. years. Since its opening on December 21, 1994, all the disproportion and change has been visible relations between the warring forces. Accelerated disintegration of the social and economic system in this part of the occupied territory he encouraged the rebel Serbs and their leadership to a series of wrong moves that eventually led to the military-police operation "Flash" and their final defeat in the military conflict in the West Slavonian area
