Sažetak
The aim is to determine how figurative language is presented in EFL textbooks for primary schools and to show how English idioms can be taught to EFL learners using the cognitive linguistic approach. The teaching activities are aimed at students attending grade 4 of primary school and the selected idioms refer to happiness which is conceptualized as being up or off the ground.
