Sažetak
The paper discusses the relationship between sustainable development in the Pope’s Encyclical letter Laudato si’, which frames integral ecology and sustainable development. The Encyclical letter is theocentric, but above all social, and provides clear guidelines for sustainability within the concept of integral ecology. Integral ecology in the Pope’s Encyclical letter Laudato si’ represents a new space of reflection within man's relations to God, his neighbour and everything created on Earth, in the modern context of understanding. In his Encyclical letter Pope Francis, on the basis of biblically inspired spirituality, points to the problems of the contemporary ecological crisis that represents the deep moral crisis of modern society while directing how humanity can respond to the complex challenges of holistic and sustainable human development.
