Sažetak
Although the Yugoslav press did not write about rock musicians in the East to preserve the special status of Yugoslavia in the cultural sense (Vučetić, 2012), Yugoslavia had successful musical cooperation with the countries of the Eastern Bloc. Just as rock entered Russia through Yugoslav musicians (Raković, 2011), so there were mutual guest appearances by Yugoslav and Eastern Bloc musicians. This fact is confirmed by a conversation with the band ‘Samonikli’ in the first issue of ‘Džuboks’ magazine (1966). The members of the band state that, at the suggestion of the City Committee of the Youth Association of Yugoslavia in Budapest, as part of the celebration of Youth Day, they played with orchestras from Hungary and East Germany. The presentation aims to describe and explore the collaboration of Yugoslav rock musicians with musicians from the Eastern Bloc countries through the texts of the youth magazine ‘Džuboks’.
