Croatian Pharmaceutical Society ; European Federation for Pharmaceutical Sciences (EUFEPS) ; professional and scientific association ; pharmacy ; pharmaceutical sciences The Croatian Pharmaceutical Society (CPhS) is a national, independent, voluntary professional association gathering pharmacists of the Republic of Croatia with the aim of improving professional and scientific work in the field of pharmacy. The first professional association in Croatia was founded in 1858., and CPhS is its successor. With today's structure and name, it operates since 1946, and since 1991 CPhS is a member and co-founder society of the European Federation for Pharmaceutical Sciences (EUFEPS) which is today a leading scientific federation in pharmaceutical sciences acting globally and locally at the European level. The main objectives of the CPhS are: • Development of pharmaceutical profession by empowering professional and scientific work • Organising and providing continuing education through courses, symposia, conferences, congresses • Organising other professional and scientific events in the field of pharmacy • Participation in the development of university educational programs • Promoting and advancing all forms of pharmaceutical education • Publishing scientific and professional journals and books • Contribution in publishing activities • Collaboration with healthcare authorities, Croatian Pharmaceutical Chamber, and other institutions • Adherence to ethical principles and protection of the same principles in the profession • Representation of members in various subjects important for a pharmaceutical branch on a national and worldwide basis
