Sažetak
This article is dedicated to phosphate glasses since they receive a considerable interest for a variety of technological applications, in biomedicine as bioglasses, in optics as laser glasses, in electrochemistry as new electrode/electrolyte materials, as low temperature sealing glasses and as hosts for nuclear wastes. The chemical and physical properties of phosphates glasses are closely related to the modification of the composition and structural network with addition of various metal oxides. A special attention is paid to the improvement of specific properties which are of the particular importance for their applications. Each section in this article is well documented with literature data.
