Sažetak
High accuracy geometric levelling is the most precise existing classical geodetic surveying method. Considering the progress of levels, reduction of measuring un-certainty or increase in precision is no longer possible to achieve only by using bet-ter-quality levels. Nowadays, research is focused on the detection and modeling of the impact of systematic errors of measuring equipment. One influential sys- tematic error is the imperfection of levelling staffs and levelling staff scales. Sys-tematic error influence of levelling staff scale is modeled by calibrating it on a comparator. In this paper, a development of a levelling staff scale calibration method by integrating a charge-coupled device (CCD) camera to the existing comparator at the Laboratory for Measurements and Measuring Technique at the Faculty of Geodesy at the University of Zagreb is described. Results of initial tests are given with plans for research and testing.
