Sažetak
This research aims to investigate the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation (EO), learning orientation (LO), and business performance (BP) in Croatia. Furthermore, the role of demographic indicators in improving the relationship between the observed constructs is investigated. As part of the study, a survey was conducted in 158 Croatian companies in 2019. By applying statistical methods of descriptive, correlation, and regression analysis and applying appropriate hypothesis tests, the relationships of entrepreneurial orientation, learning orientation, demographic characteristics, quantitative and qualitative indicators of business performance are analyzed. The results show that entrepreneurial orientation and learning orientation have a positive relationship with business performance. Moreover, there is a strong association between entrepreneurial and learning orientation. On the other hand, entrepreneurial orientation and learning orientation are highly dispersed among Croatian companies. The limitation of this study is its narrow focus on Croatian enterprises. Future studies should examine a larger sample in several countries to identify similarities and differences in the relationships of entrepreneurial orientation, learning orientation, and business performance. Another drawback is that the statistical set does not include micro-enterprises. Future research could focus on differences in entrepreneurial and learning orientation and their impact on micro- enterprise performance compared to larger enterprises
