Sažetak
The growth of plants is more or less closely correlated with the accumulated air temperature below or above some temperature threshold T. When computed from mean temperatures, these temperature differences are called degree days or temperature sums. Different types of degree days in the mountain area for the period 1961-1990 have been analyzed. have been analyzed. The mean annual of growing degree days (T = 5°C) reached 2000-2300°C at an altitude of 400-600 m. The range of the mean annual cooling degree days when CCD < 0°C was -250 to -200°C at the same altitude. For the Zavižan meteorological station situated in the northern part of the Velebit mountain at 1594 m, these degree days were 950°C and -550°C respectively. The results of linear trend analysis are shown that the annual degree days for the different threshold do not significant increase for these mountain stations.
