Sažetak
Recently, there has been an increased interest inexploring periodic structures with higher symmetries due to thedevelopment of new types of microwave components with en-hanced properties. Significant potential of this new approach canalso be exploited in the design of electromagnetic band-gap (EBG)structures, in particular since manufacturing of the componentsin gap waveguide technology can be notably simplified. However, at the same time it is necessary to respect some limitationsand challenging design aspects which this new technology isintroducing. The aim of this paper is to discuss design issuesrelated to the implementation of holey glide-symmetric periodicstructures in gap waveguide-based components.
