Sažetak
The main aim of the paper is to economically compare UAV and helicopters used for terrain mapping. Terrain mapping is used in many areas and technology is constantly evolving in the industry. Both means are used under different conditions. A UAV is well suited for landscape photography and detailed photography of small areas, and also video recording at low altitudes. A UAV using LiDAR technology can map a relatively small area with great details. A photogrammetry helicopter can map a large area in a short time, but the sharpness and detail of the image is not as high as using LiDAR technology. Differences between both means are great not only on economic side but also speed and size of covered area is different.
