Sažetak
In a grass/clover mixture (8% cocksfoot/12% timothy/18% meadow fescue/33% red clover/26% birdsfoot trefoil) sown at Sokolac in 1974 and cut 2 times/yr in 1975-7 for hay, the contents of N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Na, S and Cl in the hay DM were measured for each component at each cut and the growth stage of each component at the time was noted. During the 3 yr the main changes in the botanical composition were the virtual disappearance of the legume components (to a total of 0.21% by the 1st cut in 1977) and an increase in the proportion of grasses, especially meadow fescue (up to 51.01% of the total in 1977). The av. content of all elements decreased with increasing maturity in all components because of the increase in the stem:leaf ratio and because the stem content of elements was lower than that of the leaves. The main change in the content of the mixture from 1975 to '77 was a decrease in the Ca content ; Ca content was high in the legume components and so decreased with their disappearance.
