Sažetak
The aim of this study was to grade and compare the intensity of presumed (expected before) and perceived pain (experienced during the procedure) and our hypothesis was that the procedure of the bone marrow aspiration is expected to be more painful than it really is. A total of 59 patients (30 women and 29 men, mean (±SD) age 62.3 (±19.6), range 30–84 years), who underwent bone marrow aspiration from the sternum as part of their diagnostic procedure, was enrolled in the study after they gave written informed consent.
