Sažetak
Malnutrition is a highly prevalent condition in the acute hospital setting and is associated with many adverse outcomes. We conducted a study at seven internal clinic departments in University Hospital Split. We found out that malnutrition is common in patients hospitalized at internal clinic departments in Dalmatia. However, those patients at nutritional risk often do not receive nutritional support when hospitalized. The early detection of nutritional risk at hospital admission would allow early intervention, which may prevent many adverse outcomes.
