Sažetak
The implementation of the INSPIRE Directive has entered the last mile. Looking back on the past implementation cycle of the INSPIRE Directive, we have to state that implementation is still delayed and gaps are only closing slowly, and the INSPIRE case is still more convincing in theory than in practice. However, data is at the centre of digital transformation and data- driven innovation that will contribute to the implementation of the objectives of the European Green Deal. To use the major potential of data in support of the Green Deal priority actions on climate change, circular economy, zero pollution, biodiversity, deforestation and compliance assurance, a Common European Green Deal data space will be developed following the European Data Strategy.
