Sažetak
Pascal Quignard’s Les Larmes commemorate the birth of the French language. Read with Bernard Cerquiglini’s linguistic study La naissance du français (1991) and his historiographical essay Invention de Nithard (2018), it defines a place of birth of a certain language which is simultaneously a place of birth of a certain literature. What is the relation between a particular language and its poetic expression? What is the origin of a particular language and can it be totally historized, described punctually as a historical event? Is literature a consequence of the language or its condition? This text explores some possibilities of interpretation: the birth of a language as a glossogony always already accomplished as literature.
