Sažetak
Modern product development is supported by various applications which are increasingly embedded or integrated in a comprehensive PLM system that act as a company-wide information back-bone. Changes in product and process are handled systematically by Configuration Management so that systems and components maintain their integrity over the span of the life-cycle. In such a way a basis is provided for a traceable storage of product relevant information on a component, subsystem, system and modules including their change history. While the mentioned approach strongly supports the mega-trend of modularization, the modular approach can also be extended to align development processes with the corresponding workflows in PLM. Taking into account that high quality and low product development turnaround time are company-wide priorities, quality supporting processes such as an effective risk management system shall support continuous business running and achieving the goals of an organization. In order to achieve this, it is necessary, as far as it is possible, to identify and to analyze risks the organization is confronting and to evaluate their effects on the business and subsequently in the quality of the developed products By product risk management an enterprise identifies, controls, and mitigates risks for its products and services during the entire product and service lifecycle. In this paper, an approach is presented on how to integrate the product risk management in Product Lifecycle Management considering Configuration Management.
