Sažetak
At the Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health we have developed a fast silicon photomultiplier based scintillation detector for measurements of pulsed radiation fields. Information about dose is obtained through integration of scintillation light in order to have a detector invariant to pulse pileup. To use the developed detector for measurements of ambient dose equivalent, we had to correct its energy response. Our novel approach to this problem uses an energy compensation filter for our 10 x 10 x 10 mm3 NaI(Tl) detector. Several filters were designed using Monte Carlo simulations in Geant4 employing different materials and geometries. Preliminary results are promising, since the achieved energy response satisfies IEC 61526 requirements.
