Sažetak
We present a case study of P.O.I.N.T. Association, a non-governmental organization which successfully participates for more than 15 years in social and cultural life of Križevci, a small city in Northern Croatia, by organizing various educational, cultural, journalistic and activist projects, programs, actions and initiatives. The underlying basis for all P.O.I.N.T. activities are digital platforms that serve, at first, as tools for internal coordination and discussions among the volunteers and the association members, but also as communication channels between the local community and the association, as well as the enablers providing content and information for various projects and actions. After a brief overview of the association's notable projects, and outlining the experiences gained, we conclude with a more general discussion on values cherished and lessons learned about the technological basis for local community engagement.
