Sažetak
Creativity is a multifaceted phenomenon, so contemporary researchers approach creativity holistically with the aim of its better understanding. However, understanding the creativity alone is not enough to implement it in the educational system. Another important prerequisite is that creativity becomes important to society in general, and especially to teachers who need to teach creatively and to teach for creativity of all children. This is important because all people are potentially creative, but the extent to which creativity will develop depends on several factors that need to interact so that creativity occurs. Those factors include intellectual abilities, knowledge, cognitive styles, personality, motivation, and environment (Sternberg and Lubart, 1991). For pedagogy, it is especially important to provide a supportive environment and to create a creative school. In the process of creating a new, creative school that will meet the needs of children and teachers, it is necessary to change their roles, which primarily refers to their active role in (co)constructing a creative curriculum at school. Teachers in this process have a handful of strategies and approaches which enhance creativity. Decision about which approach(es) teachers choose should be result of a constant revaluation of their implicit theories in relation to the explicit theories of creativity.
