Sažetak
The thesis combines an analysis of the strategies of translating place names in two TTs and a survey of the attitudes of the Croatian audience. The overall results of the survey examining the respondents’ opinion on whether to translate the place names or leave them in English shows that they would mostly opt for English place names to be preserved in the Croatian translation (41 % of the participants). Only 15 % of the respondents are in favour of translating English place names into Croatian.
