Sažetak
The aim of the research was to determine the possibility of adding pumpkin seed cake (PSC) in feed mixtures for broiler chickens, as well as its influence on production and slaughter indicators. The experiment consisted of control and two experimental groups of broiler chickens fed for 6 weeks with feed mixtures containing different rates of PSC (0%, 7% and 14%, respectively). Statistically significantly higher body mass was determined in the E1 group compared to the E2 group (P<0.01) and in the E1 group compared to the C group (P<0.05). Regarding the percentage shares of different body parts in body weight, the C and E1 groups had statistically very significantly (P <0.01) higher values of wing shares compared to the E2 group. Regarding the skin colour, L value was statically significantly (P<0.05) higher in the C group, compared to the E1 group. From all of the above, it is to conclude that PSC in the rate of 7% in fodder mixtures can be recommended for feeding broilers in the period from the 1st until the 42nd day of age, with a potential to improve production and slaughter indicators
