Sažetak
Two commercially available offset leucodye-based inks that change colour due to a change in temperature were analysed. This paper focuses on the UV stability of thermochromic inks printed on paper with a certain percentage of recycled fibers (33%). The printing trials were carried out using the Prüfbau Multipurpose Printability Tester. All the samples were exposed to filtered xenon light for a period of 6 and 12 hours at a BST temperature of 60 °C. Reflectance spectra were measured in one heating/cooling cycle. The measurements were performed in the steps of 1 nm for the spectral region from 430 to 750 nm. Ocean Optics SpectraSuite software was used for the calculation of the CIELAB values from measured reflectance. The aim of this paper is to determine the UV stability on the dynamic properties of TC inks printed on an ecologically acceptable paper substrate and to propose a more acceptable option due to the different inks characteristics.
