Sažetak
The Croatian Cardiac Society (HKD) was founded in 1992, being the first independent professional medical association in independent Croatia. From the beginning, it has been a full member of the European Society of Cardiology and the World Heart Federation. Today it includes ∼500 cardiologists and related physicians. The main objectives of HKD are the care for cardiovascular health and progress of cardiology and science, in Croatia.
