Sažetak
In the extensive correspondence of the Croatian scientist Ruđer Bošković with his brother Božo Bošković (Natale Boscovich) there are numerous references to the Croatian composer and diplomat Luka Sorkočević (Luca Sorgo) who has evidently been a friend of the family. In his letters to his brother, Bošković repeatedly states that he has written or needs to write to Sorkočević, but until that portion of his vast correspondence is available to the public, the research will be limited to indirect information such as these occasional references in letters to other correspondents. The aim of this paper is to investigate and comment on these references and share some new facts on the whereabouts and political activities of Sorkočević focusing especially on any data concerning his engagement as diplomatic representative of the Republic of Dubrovnik in Vienna in 1781.
