Sažetak
Communication represents the basis of all social and business activities, with business communication being one of the most important skills today. Personal interaction in service settings, especially in tourism, yields new challenges in communication skills and abilities for organizations and their employees. Future employees in tourism do not pay enough attention to the development of communication skills, which results in their inability to efficiently perform business tasks and advance in their profession. Although business communication develops and improves throughout the whole life, it is important to develop strong foundations during formal higher education, which is not always the case. The main objective of this paper is to investigate the literature of communication skills linked to higher education of tourism students. The application of this paper will enable novel research questions for identifying and analysing acquired communicating skills throughout higher education.
